It all began over seventy years ago when Sam G. Polino began building construction projects and mining coal in the mountains of West Virginia and western Pennsylvania. Fairfax Trucking Company was established in 1962 by James G. Polino as a heavy highway contracting firm based in the Appalachian Mountains of Elkins, WV. The name of this corporation was changed from Fairfax Trucking Company to Polino Contracting, Inc. in the year 2000. Polino Contracting, Inc. and Subsidiaries are now managed by third generation Christopher J. Polino. Polino Contracting has a broad range of experience in the construction of roads and highways, reclamation of previously mined lands, mine face-ups and developments, landfill constructions and cappings, wetland developments, enoxic line trenches, and site preparations.
